Horton-in-Ribblesdale is in the centre of the Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales and walks to two of the peaks; Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough start from the village. The Pen-y-ghent Cafe outdoor shop and Tourist Information Centre caters for the needs of walkers.

Food can be purchased from the village store or from supermarkets in the nearby town of Settle. Otherwise, your main food shopping for your holiday can be ordered in advance from Tesco.com who deliver to the village.
